What qualifications do you offer?

We currently offer two qualifications:

CPAA Certificate in Introductory Public Practice Accounting (Level 3)

CPAA Diploma in Public Practice Accountancy and Taxation (Level 4)

 

What are the entry requirements?

There are no entry requirements for the Level 3 qualification although we would recommend that you have GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

For the Level 4 qualification you will need to have completed the Level 3 qualification with us or have an equivalent qualification or relevant experience in accountancy and finance. If you are unsure, please contact us at admin@acpa.org.uk

You should also have a good level of computer literacy as all communication and assessments will be held online.

 

What are the fees?

What is the registration process?

You will need to fill in and submit this form. We will then review it, if we need any additional information from you we will be in touch by email. Once we are happy with your application, we will send you a link to make payment. When this payment has been received, we will send you a welcome email with your student reference number and any other information you may need.

 

When are the assessments?

Assessments will be held twice a year, in January and September. Dates will be communicated by email to all registered students nearer the time.

 

How are assessments conducted?

How are results issued?

Once each round of assessments have finished, we will review them and then issue results by email within two weeks of the assessment date. Certificates will then be sent out by post.

 

How long do I have to complete the qualification?

You must complete the qualification within five years from registering. If you have not completed the qualification in this time, you will need to re-register and may have to pay additional fees.

 

Do you provide learning material?

At present, we are actively seeking to develop learning material for our qualifications. As part of this we welcome interest from any third parties who would like to get involved.

 

Do you offer exemptions?

Yes, we have a recognition of prior learning policy. If you would like to know more, please contact us at admin@acpa.org.uk.

 

Do I need to complete these qualifications to join CPAA as a member?

No, if you have relevant experience or qualifications already, you may be able to join us as a member. For more information on routes to entry click here.
